Ganz Chockalingam

Ganz Chockalingam is a telematics expert and research scientist at the Qualcomm Institute at UC San Diego. He received his PhD in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Iowa. Chockalingam has worked on a multi-modal prototype that allowed someone sitting in a car to request information by voice to a system, and the system would provide a text response on the car's display which could also provide driving instructions on request, one step at a time as the driver needed it, and has collaborated on a project with Saudi Arabian researchers on server-side of the programming equation for mobile phone applications dealing with crowd control.
